Write a position statement for "Who had the right to claim America?" If you played a character, write it from his/her point of view. If you were yourself, write it from your own p.o.v. The statement should give a reason why. It should be a few sentences long.

Also, study the map of French explorers on p. 61. Answer the questions on p. 61, and also #6 on p. 62.
